The Sensata Gigavac P105FDA DC contactor is a compact MiniTACTOR designed for reliable make and break switching in high-voltage DC power systems. Unlike larger high-current contactors used as main battery disconnect devices, the P105FDA is optimized for lower-current circuits where small size, light weight, sealed protection, and high-voltage switching capability are important. With a 50A contact rating and 1200VDC nominal switching voltage, it is well suited for pre-charge circuits, charge paths, photovoltaic systems, compact battery packs, and control-side DC power switching.

The P105FDA uses an SPST-NO contact arrangement, also described as 1 Form X. The main contact remains open when the coil is not energized and closes when the 48VDC coil receives the correct control voltage. This allows a low-voltage control circuit to switch a higher-voltage DC load circuit. The 1200VDC value belongs to the main power switching path, while the 48VDC value belongs only to the coil circuit.
